Please join us in welcoming Professor Zaller who will be giving a talk on:
“Why Political Parties Are Extreme Even Though Most Voters Are Moderate” - An examination of the nature of political parties in the United States and the prospects for making them more responsive to voter opinion.
The talk will be from 4-6 pm in Room 101 Becker Communication Studies Building (101 BCSB)
Professor Zaller is a professor of Political Science at UCLA and a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He is an expert on public opinion, the effects of the media on public attitudes, US political parties, and campaigns and elections. He has published several books and articles on these topics.
