Johnson County Senior Center

The Philosophy Department regularly teaches a course at the Johnson County Senior Center.  Recent courses include "Freedom and Authority" in spring 2016 and "The Meaning of Life" in fall 2016.  Upcoming courses will be four-week discussions of individual philosophers and their work, including Descartes, Cavendish, Spinoza, and Nietzsche.  The first such course will focus on Descartes and will be Thursdays 1:30-3:00, from September 14 through October 5.

Our work at the Senior Center would not be possible without the help of our undergraduate Philosophy Interns.
