Students from the Sport & Recreation Management Program attended the Mount Union Sales Conference and Job Fair in Cleveland, Ohio, on Feb. 10. The event, for students interested in sales-related careers in professional sports, includes interviews for available positions and hands-on training with sales managers.

Before the event, the 14 students scheduled over 100 face-to-face interviews with professional sports teams. Ten students have received job offers, often on-the-spot after the interview, from organizations including the Miami Dolphins (NFL), New York Mets (MLB), Minnesota Timberwolves (NBA), Milwaukee Bucks (NBA), Philadelphia Union (MLS) & Monumental Sports and Entertainment that includes Washington Wizards (NBA), Mystics (WNBA) and Capitals (NHL). Many students were also invited to several team cities for further interviews.

Faculty members Anna Jensen, Packy Moran, and Clint Huntrods from the Sport & Recreation Management Program in the Department of Health & Human Physiology, part of the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences, accompanied students on the trip.
