Her experience was exceedingly positive, and she wants all Hawkeyes to be aware of the great exchange opportunities offered by the U.S. government. IS:3012 Students Collaborating with the Newly-Opened International Rescue Committee Office in Iowa City

The International Rescue Committee, a global organization that rehomes refugees, is helping settle around 100 refugees in Iowa City over the next couple of months after opening an Iowa City office late last year. In efforts to assist unaccompanied minors who are refugees, the International Rescue Committee will launch a new program aimed at these individuals to get documentation and connect with a guardian, Terlouw said. The program will start March 1.

International Studies Major Camry Pritchard awarded Gilman Scholarship to study in Korea in Summer 2024

Camry Pritchard is a fourth-year international studies major from Bettendorf, Iowa. In addition to a Gilman Scholarship, she is also the recipient of a Critical Language Scholarship. She will be studying abroad this summer in South Korea on the TEAN Korea summer program.
