Post-Comp Fellow Ashley Dorn Researches through the Semester
PhD Candidate Ashley Dorn is currently taking a break from classroom teaching in order to research and begin writing her dissertation. This time is made possible to her through the Graduate College’s Post-Comprehensive Fellowship.
Over these past months Ashley has presented research on the Federal Transient Program at the Labor and Working-Class History Association Conference in North Carolina and spent time processing and indexing transcripts for the Iowa Labor History Oral Project. This is all while researching and reading to prepare for writing her dissertation.
To finish the semester, she is working with government and state records from Iowa as well as heading to the Wisconsin State Historical Society as she prepares her prospectus on migrant and transient workers in the Midwest during the twentieth century.
