The Office of Field Experience is actively engaged in recruiting experiential learning partners. As positions become known, links to information about available opportunities will be posted here. They could be volunteer positions, part-time, seasonal or full-time positions. Please read closely and apply to positions based on your mix of needs regarding credit, experience and compensation. Check back often as updates and new positions are added regularly.
It is important to remember that semester hour credit is not automatically granted for experiential learning. You must register for SRM:4197:0006 (Sport and Recreation Field Experience) and fulfill the requirements for the course and credits. Iowa Athletics is accepting applications for a Ticket Event Representative. Must be available to work over winter and spring breaks. Begins Fall '18. Old Capitol Pro Tennis Futures Internship - Interns will have the opportunity to work closely with UISRM instructor Alex Voss to build out and bring this pro tennis tournament to Iowa City from July 14-22, 2018. Experiences gained will include marketing, communications, operational event management, sponsorship and more. Areas available for interested students include Culinary, Ballpark Operations, Merchandise, Marketing and Promotions, Ticket Sales, Video/Media Production, Clubhouse Operations, Human Resources/Accounting and more. Colorado Spring Sports Corp is offering a summer Communications/Sports Marketing Internship. Primary focus will include work on the Rocky Mountain State Games, an event lasting two weeks that attracts more than 10,000 athletes competing in more than 35 different sports.
