Customer service is the focus of coursework. Learn how it impacts the game day experience and satisfaction for ticket holders.

  • 3 Semester Hours.
  • One, weekly in-class operations meeting. 
  • Learn in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Hands-on experience being on the front lines of a B1G athletic department.
  • Interact with athletes, fans and visitors on game days!
  • Fall semester involves work with football, volleyball, basketball, wrestling and special events. 
  • Spring semester involves work with basketball, wrestling, gymnastics, baseball, softball, track & field and special events.
  • Behind the scenes access, tours and experiences.
  • Official apparel provided.

The Fall 2022 cohort will work ALL home football games (Sept 3, 10, 17; Oct 1, 29; Nov 12, 25), select volleyball games, early season men's and women's basketball, wrestling and other events as opportunities arise.  

Spring 2022 cohort is currently working with track and field, baseball, softball, basketball and wrestling throughout the course of the semester. In addition to working with Iowa Athletics, students will have the option to experience events at Xtream Arena. Events will include Disney on Ice, music concerts, Iowa Heartlanders Hockey and more. This cohort of students will also plan and execute their own event during the semester. 

To apply, submit a resume and cover letter indicating your interest, what you believe you bring to the course and how it aligns with your career aspirations. An invitation to participate in the course is competitive and based upon application materials including a resume and cover letter. All areas are taken into consideration including but not limited to student interest in event management or operations, previous experience and classroom performance, demonstrated by GPA, engagement in the sport community as demonstrated through volunteer work and/or participation in the SRM Club, a demonstrated responsibility to professional behavior both in and out of the classroom. Additionally, a student's UI behavioral / misconduct record may be subject to review prior to offers being extended.
