Alex is committed to a world where everyone gets what they need. Alex is a doctoral student in the Higher Education and Student Affairs program within the College of Education. Alex has done campus- and community-based LGBTQ work for six years. They have their M.Ed. from the University of Georgia’s College Student Affairs Administration program and their B.A. in Law and American Society from Florida Atlantic University. Their research interests include:

--Understanding how white queer/trans/disabled peoples work in solidarity with communities of color and efforts towards anti-racism;

--The college-going experiences of queer and trans college students;

--Using critical (i.e., critical race theories, feminist) and poststructural (i.e., queer, crip) theories to illuminate power structures in college student development.
