Asha Bhandary, associate professor of Gender, Women's & Sexuality studies and Philosophy, has been been appointed by the American Philosophical Association’s Board of Officers to serve as Associate Chair (1 year), automatically moving into the position of Chair (3 years) for the APA Committee on Asian and Asian American Philosophers and Philosophers. For the three years when she is Chair of the Committee, she will automatically be part of the APA Committee on Inclusiveness in the Profession. Bhandary says she's excited to be taking on this significant leadership role in her discipline’s main organization - making Philosophy a more inclusive discipline has been and remains one of her primary professional goals. The role includes planning sessions for each of the three regional annual meetings in the U.S./Canada.
