2020-21 Ford Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship to Alberto Ortiz Díaz
Global Health Studies Professor Alberto Ortiz Díaz has been named a 2020-21 Ford Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow. He will be based at the University of Puerto Rico-Río Piedras' Institute of Caribbean Studies working on his book manuscript, Raising the Living Dead: Rehabilitative Corrections in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, along with a few other projects.
The fellowship is administered by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. This prestigious award reflects the review panelists’ judgment of his professional and scholarly competence as well as the likelihood his career will be enhanced by the Postdoctoral Fellowship experience.
