Grad Student Rachel Larson featured in National Center for Science Education Report

Rachel Larson, a graduate student in the Geography Ph.D. program, is a Graduate Student Outreach Fellow, a program supported by UI and the Carver Foundation and administered by the National Center for Science Education (NCSE). Rachel and her cohort were recently featured in the Reports of the NSCE. The article (pp. 12-13) discusses the fellowship and Rachel's 2019 cohort: "united by their research in evolution and their shared passion for engaging the public." The fellows recently, "participated in a roundtable discussion about the growing importance of effective science communication."
