The Edge of Space Academy, spearheaded by faculty and staff including Dr. Susan Meerdink and Adam Skibbe of the Geographical and Sustainability Sciences Department, was recently featured in an article by Richard C. Lewis for This Is UIowa.

From a pool of three dozen candidates, 12 undergraduates were selected from 8 states to participate in the Edge of Space Academy, a summer program putting Iowa on the map with hands-on astrophysics research. Their hard work is chronicled and showcased in this article.
