What will you be doing at Woodard & Curran?

The successful candidate will join our team of motivated individuals as a GIS Solutions Analyst within our Environment and Remediation Group. As part of our team, the candidate will be asked to interface with clients, consultants, implementation staff and other disciplines to assist with the technical delivery of GIS and Utility Technology solutions for our municipal, industrial water and wastewater clients on a regional and national level.

What will a typical day look like?

Support marketing and business development.

Foster and maintain relationships with key clients.

Select, specify and implement GIS technology for clients, including hardware and software, web hosting and web GIS, mobile GIS applications.

Develop and administer ArcGIS databases, including database schema design.

Assist with the development and maintenance of ArcGIS online feature services.

Create client requested maps both for online viewing and physical plotting following proper cartographic and design principles.

Provide training on-site as needed for clients to create successful project implementation.

Execute assignment with scope, schedule, and budget for a variety of clients, both internal and external.

The candidate will need to understand the overall project requirements and meet important project milestones and associated deadlines. The candidate will be asked to contribute to the overall improvement of team efficiency and effectiveness.

What will you need to succeed?

AS or BS in applicable field from an accredited college or university.

2+ years’ experience in GIS.

Hands-on working knowledge of Esri ArcGIS desktop software, including ArcMap and ArcPro.

Familiar with GPS data collection and data management, including Collector for ArcGIS.

Experience with ArcGIS Online / Portal / Pro / ArcGIS for Enterprise Databases.

Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Access experience is a bonus).

Experience in technical report writing.

Python, SQL or any other programming language a plus.

Experience in technical report writing.
