Earlier Deadlines in the Review Process

The following departments with clinical-track faculty have established deadlines that are earlier than those in the CLAS Timetable for Clinical-track Promotion Reviews.

Psychology

  • May 30: Deadline for completing selection of external evaluators.
  • First day of classes: Deadline for candidate's submission of promotion dossier.
  • September 1: Deadline for DEO's transmission of materials to external evaluators.
  • October 15: Departmental P&T Committee report due to DEO.

Contents of Candidate Dossier

With the approval of the College and University, departments may specify materials for inclusion in all candidate dossiers in addition to those specified in the University/Collegiate Procedures for Clinical-track Promotion, section I.B(3).

At present, no departments with clinical faculty have specified such additional materials.

Departmental Promotion & Tenure Committee

The following departments with clinical-track faculty have established specifications for the composition or formation of this committee in addition to those in section I.C of the University/Collegiate Procedures.

  • Psychology: The Departmental P&T Committee will usually include faculty who have previously served on the candidate's review committee (for assistant and associate professors) and the candidate's mentoring committee (for assistant professors).
  • Communication Sciences and Disorders: The Departmental P&T Committee shall be comprised of all faculty eligible to be in the Departmental Consulting Group

Classroom Observations

Departments with clinical-track faculty have established that they will conduct the number of classroom observations specified below in conjunction with the peer evaluation of teaching described in the University/Collegiate Guidelines, section I.D.2).
