Ph.D. student; Teaching Assistant in Spanish
Office Hours:
Not Teaching - Fall 2017

After majoring in Translation and Interpreting in the University of Alicante, Spain, and receiving an official certification for legal translation and interpreting, I moved to Iowa in August 2013 to pursue a Master's of Arts in Hispanic Linguistics. I decided to continue my studies, and currently I am a Ph.D. candidate in Hispanic Linguistics with special interest in Sociolinguistics and Discourse Analysis. I am also working towards a Graduate Certificate in Gender, Women's and Sexuality Studies, since I would like to further explore the social construction of gender through the use of language. I work as a Teaching Assistant for the Department of Spanish and I have taught almost every level of the Spanish GEP Program.
