This interdisciplinary master’s program has tracks in Chinese, Japanese, Sanskrit, and South Asian Studies.

German

Students may earn a combined BA/MA.

French & Francophone World Studies

Students may earn the MA and PhD. In addition to courses in the literature and culture of France and on the literatures of immigration in France, courses include Francophone literatures and cultures of Canada, the Caribbean, the Indian Ocean, and North and sub-Saharan Africa.

Linguistics

Students may earn a combined BA/MA with TESL focus.

Literary Translation

Students may earn the MFA.

Second Language Acquisition

The doctorate in Second Language Acquisition is an interdisciplinary degree offered by FLARE (Foreign Language Acquisition Research and Education) with emphases in program direction, linguistics, and technology.

Spanish

Students may earn the MA and the PhD (each with emphases in literature or linguistics) or the MFA.
