Yasemin Mohammad received a B.A. in English Language and Literature from Boğaziçi University (Turkey) in 2002, and a Ph.D. in German Literature & Culture from Penn State in 2012. Her research interests are 20th and 21st century German Literature, Arab-German and Turkish-German writers. She is currently working on her book manuscript that examines the ways in which Turkish-German and Arab-German writers negotiate German national memory and identity. Her additional research interests include Turkish-German cinema, German exile and travel literature, German and British Orientalism, Ottoman-German relations, Memory Studies, and Migration Studies.
