As part of the merit raises process, Departments should turn in all CVs from their faculty by October 15. Departments can set an earlier deadline for CVs if they need it to begin the merit process in a timely fashion. Here is a summary of the process to follow this year:

  • All regular CLAS faculty (tenured, tenure-track, clinical track, and instructional track) should provide their current CV, highlighting the changes for the last two years, and submit the CV, along with teaching scores to your departmental Administrator or DEO.
  • The “CLAS Standard CV Template” is required and more information can be found at this link: https://clas.uiowa.edu/faculty/apr-academic-professional-record.
  • Departments should turn in all CVs from their faculty no later than October 15, 2021. There are two options for uploading CVs; please only choose one. The following link is the preferable option: https://iowa-my.sharepoint.com/:f:/g/personal/arneu_uiowa_edu/EkE5IlXUg5VFnINlYdFCQo4BWxsPmOOKn2Zh3nd3L-dIag. However, if that link will not work for you, please use the following link, from an on-campus login or VPN, to upload your faculty CVs: \\iowa.uiowa.edu\shared\CLAS\GeneralUse\DeansOffice\DEO_CVs. If you need assistance, please contact Kaitlyn Behan.
  • Any concerns should be discussed with your area Associate Dean.
  • Faculty who are currently on a medical leave of absence and fully absent from work during this time will not need to complete their performance evaluation by the due date, and CLAS-HR will work with the DEO to provide an extension to the employee if they are not back to work by the due date of November 1, 2021.
  • If you have any questions, please reach out to your HR Representative.

Additional information will be provided during the Merit Raise Workshop on September 15.
