Please consider joining communities hosted by the Center for Teaching (part of the Office of Teaching Learning and Technology (OTLT)) focused on new-to-Iowa faculty, tech tools, and more.

Early Career Faculty Community of Practice (CoP)

Join other early career faculty (focused on instructional track, clinical track, visiting, adjunct and postdoctoral instructors) to explore evidence-based teaching practices, reflect on your own pedagogical values and practices, and create a teaching development plan alongside peer instructors across Iowa. Apply to join this CoP by Thursday, Sept. 16.

Learn more about the other Faculty Communities at the Center for Teaching.

Academic Technology User Groups

Learn more about instructional technologies including Top Hat and ICON, and meet with other faculty to discuss teaching ideas and solutions related to using these tools in your courses.

These monthly sessions are a great way for instructors to connect and see how others are using technology in their classes.
