This fall we have again had reports of solicitation in larger classes under the guise of announcing volunteer opportunities or free tutoring, for example. These are often attempts to sell products while collecting student contact information.

Any soliciting on campus by those without official UI affiliation or status is not allowed. For the complete policy, see this chapter in the Operations Manual, 9.1.

If you see such solicitation occurring, please intervene and collect the related information. Let students know that solicitations are not allowed in the classroom.
