As a reminder, we have a check-in on the calendar to submit your preliminary draft Promotion Records on November 1 after the Promotion Committee Report has been added. This checkpoint is an opportunity for our office to see if we can help with progress toward completion, assisting with formatting questions or organization, and is encouraged to help in advance of the December collegiate deadline of the entire Promotion Record. The check-in should be viewed as a time to help, but if more time is needed, just let Tiffany Schier know. If you’re not ready to submit a draft around that date but would like to discuss anything, we’re happy to schedule a zoom check-in together.

Or submit them via our new “File Cabinet” system here:  https://apps.clas.uiowa.edu/FileCabinet.

Currently, only administrators and DEOs have access to the File Cabinet, but we can add anyone you’d like included (just send Tiffany Schier their name and title). After you login, you’ll be on a landing page of upcoming deadlines as we’re building out how to use this app. Click “Preliminary Review of Promotion Records” and you'll go a page that looks like this. Just click the blue “Submit File to Dean’s Office” button in the upper right corner. Select your department and the faculty’s name and either drag and drop or search for your file(s) to submit. Once you save them, you will see a new row in the table with today’s date, your department number, and your HawkID. This is verification that the file was submitted! You’ll only see your department(s) in your upload log.
