The Office of the Vice President for Research and Economic Development's Research Development Office is collaborating with the Carver College of Medicine's Office of Faculty Affairs and Development to bring Dr. Peg AtKisson back to campus on October 24, 2017, for a one-day grant writing seminar.  Dr. AtKisson, who was recently associated with Grant Writers' Seminars & Workshops, has formed her own company: AtKisson Training Group (ATG).  Her one-day seminar titled "Planning and Writing Successful Grant Proposals" provides interactive instruction in all phases of grant writing, from the initial decision to submission including how to write for peer review. 

PRESENTER INFORMATION
Dr. AtKisson earned her degree in neuroscience from Tufts University in 2001, after also working in cell biology and cancer biology.  She has been involved in bringing in over $140,000,000 in funded grants from agencies including NIH, NSF, USAID, and the W. SEMINAR INFORMATION
TITLE:  Planning and Writing Successful Grant Proposals
DATE:  Tuesday, October 24, 2017, The University Club (1360 Melrose Avenue)
TIME:   8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
COST:  $150/person (includes grant writing workbook & lunch)
