Each year CLAS is eligible to nominate two students for the Hancher Finkbine Medallion. This award honors students who demonstrate exceptional achievement in learning, leadership, and loyalty. 

CLAS requests that interested departments submit a short (less than one page) document that:

• provides basic information about the student (name, major, UID number)
• very briefly addresses how the student meets the medallion criteria of learning, leadership, and loyalty.  

Please send the pre-nomination document to diane-hauser@uiowa.edu  by the end of the day on January 20, 2023.  Associate Dean Cornelia Lang will select two students for the full nomination process and contact departments with the results by January 25.  Departments will then complete and submit the nomination form online to the Division of Student Life by the February 10 deadline.
