The Office of Teaching, Learning & Technology is excited to announce that applications are now open for instructors to join the Learning Design Collaboratory as part of the Fall 2019 cohort.

  • Applications will be reviewed for Fall 2019 through Saturday, June 1.
  • Fellows are eligible for up to $5,000 of compensation for their participation in the Learning Design Collaboratory, commensurate with their work commitment.

The Learning Design Collaboratory is a course redesign program integrating a team-based, data-informed approach to course design with a scholarly, reflective perspective on teaching and learning.

The Collaboratory focuses its efforts on the following:

  • Improving student learning outcomes
  • Improving faculty teaching experiences and engaging instructors in scholarly discourse about course transformation
  • Increasing the quality and transferability of course design and delivery practices
  • Decreasing the overall cost of course delivery

Collaboratory faculty fellows work with a course design team (instructional designers, assessment experts, and others) to develop specific course improvements and enhancements; fellows also participate in a Community of Practice with their peers as course redesign progresses.
