Funding Opportunity - OpenHawks
Please see the note below regarding the OpenHawks funding resource through the University of Iowa Libraries.
OpenHawks is an Open Educational Resources (OER) grant program that provides faculty and teaching assistants with funding for adopting, remixing, or creating open textbooks and other free and openly licensed educational materials. Grants range from $500 to $10,000.
Overview and helpful links:
- The application deadline is April 24, 2020.
- Last year, OpenHawks funded 15 OER projects across a broad range of disciplines. These projects are set to save students a total of over $100,000 in their first year of use. Read more about the OpenHawks projects that received funding in 2019-2020.
- If you plan to apply, attend one of the seven workshops the University Libraries is offering to help you craft your grant application.
