Instructional track faculty contracts must be initialed by the area Associate Dean before they are presented for signature to the faculty member. We are taking this step to ensure that all contracts follow the CLAS Instructional Track Policy https://clas.uiowa.edu/sites/default/files/CLAS%20Instructional%20Faculty%20Policy(1).pdf regarding workload allocation. If a department would like to offer a contract that doesn’t follow the guidelines, the DEO should consult with the area Associate Dean in advance.
