RE: Overload Compensation Guidelines

Given the current situation that CLAS and the UI are facing, it is necessary for the College to take measures to reduce the fiscal budget substantially.  Beginning with Fall 2020, departments should not be scheduling overload appointments.  The area associate dean will review any requests on an exception basis and consult with the Dean as appropriate.

If an overload appointment is necessary and approved, the current overload compensation policy goes into effect.

The overall goal is to reduce the overload compensation budget substantially, college-wide; we need all your help to achieve this.  If you have any questions or need guidance on ways to reduce or eliminate overload in your respective unit/department, please contact your area associate dean.
