Please see the following message from Dekel Luban, Program Coordinator, ADVANCE Office of Faculty Development, on behalf of the Future Faculty Workshop Planning Committee at Northeastern University.

I invite you to share information with your postdoctoral scholars and Ph.D. students about the upcoming New England Future Faculty Workshop, presented by Northeastern University in partnership with Harvard Medical School. This year’s virtual workshop will be held on July 27th and 28th, and prepares participants for entry into the academic job market through sessions on finding their institutional fit, developing research, teaching, and diversity statements, honing interview and negotiation skills, time management, and planning their first year as faculty.

The workshop was created to serve members of groups whose representation in faculty positions is smaller than their representation in the U.S. population. This includes women, racial and ethnic minorities, persons with disabilities, first-generation students, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Please circulate the attached flyer with the workshop information. Interested Ph.D. students and postdoctoral scholars in STEM fields, the social sciences, humanities, and health sciences should apply by June 20, 2022. Application instructions and workshop information can be found at: https://faculty.northeastern.edu/advance/faculty-recruitment/future-faculty-workshop/ .
