The Selection Committee on the Celebration of Excellence and Achievement Among Women is now accepting nominations for the 2019-2020 awards.
Consider submitting nominating a colleague for one of these awards:
- Susan C. Buckley Distinguished Achievement Award for Staff
- May Brodbeck Distinguished Achievement Award for Faculty
- The Jean Y. Jew Women’s Rights Award (faculty, staff, or student)
Undergraduate and Graduate students, consider applying for the student awards:
- The Margaret P. Benson Memorial Scholarship
- Jane A. Weiss Memorial Dissertation Scholarship
- Adah Johnson/Otilia Maria Fernandez Scholarship
- Kristin K. Lippke Memorial Scholarship
- Adele Kimm Scholarship
- Stephen Lynn Smith Memorial Scholarship for Social Justice

The planning committee, along with the award selection committees, would appreciate you sharing this information with your faculty, staff, and students to ensure the awards and the event are well publicized.
Award winners will be recognized at the "Celebration of Excellence and Achievement Among Women,” the University’s annual tribute to the accomplishments of all women at the UI, on Wednesday, April 8, 2020, from 3:00-5:00 p.m. in the IMU 2nd Floor Ballroom. A social begins at 3:00 p.m. followed by the awards program at 3:30 p.m. The program is free and open to the public.
