Faculty at all ranks are invited to apply for a three-day immersive workshop on the creation of a companion website for their monographic work. Up to ten spots are available. Applicants should have a monograph in the final months of press production or published within the past two academic years. First-time authors of monographs are especially encouraged to apply.

The workshop—held May 22-24, 2018—will be broken into three three-hour sessions (9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.) in the UI Libraries and will be conducted by Senior Scholar for Digital Arts & Humanities Research Deborah Whaley and Studio staff.

Monograph sites help widen the reach of the manuscript by suggesting ways instructors might approach it, and provide tools such as: discussion questions, lecture topics, multimedia, apps, interactive games, digital studying aids, and hypertext sources without duplicating the book’s content.

Participants will receive $500 in special compensation. For more information, contact deborah-whaley@uiowa.edu or leah-morlan@uiowa.edu.

Deadline for Applications: March 30, 2018.
