Dear Colleague,

We are pleased to invite your institution’s humanities faculty to join us for a National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Regional Workshop on Digital Humanities on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at Iowa State University. The workshop will feature a presentation by the NEH Office of Digital Humanities senior program officer, Elizabeth Tran.

The goal of the workshop is to inform regional scholars of NEH funding opportunities and strategies for successful submission.   The group program will be held from 8:30 am – 1:45 pm, and will feature an overview of the Office of Digital Humanities and NEH, a mock review panel aimed at increasing a deeper understanding of the review process, and 12-15 lightning talks.

Scholars interested in delivering a lightning talk should submit an abstract with their workshop registration by March 1.  Lightning talk abstracts will be reviewed and selected by the organizing committee, and applicants will be notified by March 21.

Individual 20-minute sessions with Ms. Tran will be also scheduled between 2:15 and 5:30 pm, available on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Individual session requests may be made with the workshop registration.

Workshop registration will remain open until March 21.  More information about the workshop and a link to the registration page may be found on our website.

Please share this information with all interested scholars on your campus.  We look forward to seeing you and your colleagues on April 4!

Best wishes,
