  • The Obermann Center for Advanced Studies will be offering up to 9 Mellon Humanities for the Public Good Graduate Summer Internships summer 2020: https://uihumanitiesforthepublicgood.com/2020-summer-internships/  The purpose of the program is to offer graduate students the opportunity to explore how their academic training might translate into a variety of professions and workplaces. We have worked with partners to find meaningful opportunities that will help scholars learn to hone leadership, communication, project management, curation, and other talents that are valued in many kinds of workplaces, including higher education. Students who are interested can learn more at an information session at the Obermann Center (one is happening today, December 18 from 4:00-5:00 and the other is Friday, January 31 from 12:00-1:00). Applications are due February 4, and graduate students from humanities or humanities-oriented social sciences are encouraged to apply.
