Title: What have I learned in my (45) years of trying?
Presenter: Ruth Bentler, PhD
Abstract: In my world of hearing aid technologies and patient outcomes, the past four decades have seen immeasurable progress. Yet, sometimes it seems we aren’t really a lot closer to achieving the goal of achieving measurable benefit and satisfied users than we were when I began in this field. In this overview presentation, I hope to convince you that for those of us who choose audiology as a career path, the ride is a good one, albeit without a clear destination.

The Fall Camp Wapsie Team-Building Event helped UI MA-SLP students hone their leadership and teambuilding skills. First- and second-year MA-SLP’s, former students, and clinical faculty met at Wapsie August 25 to climb towers, zoom down ziplines, engage in team building aand join in a creative thinking workshop focused on visual intelligence. These skill-building activities are all designed for professional growth for clinical work, as well as welcoming the incoming first-years to the U of I.
