Language in Aging & Aphasia

Jean K. Gordon, PhD, Director

The Language in Aging & Aphasia Laboratory, located in Room 234 of the Wendell Johnson Speech and Hearing Center, investigates the nature of language production changes in typical aging, and language production deficits in neurologically disordered subjects, particularly individuals who have suffered a stroke. Current research focuses on word retrieval and the fluency of language production, with the goal of refining psycholinguistic models of language production in typically aging and aphasic populations.
