Jaclyn Reed is a graduate fellow at the University of Iowa in the Department of Communication Studies. She is originally from Sauk Rapids, Minnesota and graduated from the College of Saint Benedict in 2016. Her research specializes in interpersonal research and her research interests include newlyweds, expectations for marriage, and family communication. Her recent work examines individuals from racial and ethnic minority groups’ experiences of conflict in the transition into marriage. Her dissertation explores newlyweds’ experiences with the transition into marriage using uncertainty management theory and relational uncertainty.
