Jaclyn Reed is a doctoral student interested in interpersonal communication research. Her research interests include newlywed relationships, adult children of divorce, and conflict. Recently, she conducted research that examines individuals from racial and ethnic minority groups' experiences with conflict in the transition into marriage during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her upcoming dissertation project explores adult children of divorce and their experiences with the transition into marriage using the relational turbulence theory. Her other research interests related to the transition to marriage include expectations prior to marriage, in-law dynamics, and how previous experiences with conflict shape current conflict episodes. When she’s not researching or teaching, she enjoys traveling and watching the Great British Bake Off with her husband and cats.
