The School of Journalism and Mass Communication strives to provide top-tier resources to its students and faculty. These include facilities such as the Adler Journalism Building and the SJMC Resource Center, as well as extensive holdings of journals, magazines, and newspapers, and many internship and job placement opportunities.

SJMC Listserv

Although information about events and opportunities is available in the Resource Center, near the photocopier, and in weekly e-mails to SJMC students, faculty, and staff, all SJMC students are automatically enrolled in the jmc-opportunities listserv, which provides valuable information about academic and industry jobs, internships, scholarships, and contests. If you are not currently receiving job opportunities through the listserv, you can request to be added by clicking "subscribe" or by e-mailing jennifer-raghavan@uiowa.edu. If you are currently subscribed, you can change how often you receive opportunities (as they become available or in digest format), or ask to be removed from the list via the listserv home page or by e-mailing jennifer-raghavan@uiowa.edu.
