For the second time in the 2014-2015 academic year, the 3D Design Program in the University of Iowa School of Art & Art History won the top prize at a nationally prestigious competition.
Students and faculty from the program traveled to New York City May 16-19, 2015, to exhibit their work and compete against many of the nation's top design schools at ICFF, a global design showcase for interior furniture, seating, carpet and flooring, lighting, outdoor furniture, materials, wall coverings, textiles, and kitchen and bath accessories.
The University of Iowa won the 2015 Editors' Award for Best School, beating out programs from the Rhode Island School of Design, Virginia Tech, New York School of Interior Design, and other highly regarded design schools.

Also this year:
- In November 2014, the UI 3D Design Program, led by Associate Professor Monica Correia, won the design school competition at SOFA, the other top North American furniture, sculptural object, and design fair, which takes place annually in Chicago.
- In April 2015, several of the program's students and faculty traveled to Milan, Italy, where they were one of only two American programs invited to exhibit their work at the internationally prestigious Salone Internazionale del Mobile di Milano, or Milan Furniture Fair.
- In August 2015, the UI unveiled its new Iowa State Fair booth, which was designed by students and faculty in the program.
