The book, to be published by Penguin Books in March 2016, has been named a "Most Anticipated Book of Spring 2016" by Publisher's Weekly, which also gave it a starred review.

In addition, A Woman of Property was featured in NPR's 2016 Poetry Preview.

Schiff is the author of the poetry collections Revolver (2008) and Worth (2002). Her work has been represented in several anthologies, including Legitimate Dangers: American Poets of the New Century (Sarabande, 2006), and Women Poets on Mentorship: Efforts and Affections (Iowa, 2007). Her poetry has been published widely in journals, including in The New Yorker, Poetry, and A Public Space.


The University of Iowa College of Liberal Arts and Sciences offers about 70 majors across the humanities; fine, performing and literary arts; natural and mathematical sciences; social and behavioral sciences; and communication disciplines. About 15,000 undergraduate and nearly 2,000 graduate students study each year in the college’s 37 departments, led by faculty at the forefront of teaching and research in their disciplines.
