University of Iowa lecturer James Dreier has published a new book, Latin Jazz Guide: A Path to Authentic Percussion and Ensemble Performance (Hal Leonard).

James Dreier is a lecturer of jazz studies in the School of Music, part of the UI College of Liberal Arts & Sciences. He specializes in jazz drumming, Latin music and percussion, and world percussion.


The University of Iowa College of Liberal Arts and Sciences offers about 70 majors across the humanities; fine, performing and literary arts; natural and mathematical sciences; social and behavioral sciences; and communication disciplines.
