Undergraduate Application

Current and Transfer Students

Students may formally declare an interest in the Bachelor of Science Program in Human Physiology at any time. Enrollment in the Bachelor of Science Program in Human Physiology requires an application (with the exception of qualified incoming freshman – see below). Students already enrolled at The University of Iowa may apply to the program upon completing college courses in chemistry. The need to take these prerequisite courses means that students typically apply during the spring semester of their Freshman year, or later. The deadline for filing the application is February 1 for admission the following Fall semester, with notification of admission during March, in time for registration for the Fall semester.

Incoming Freshmen Students

Upon admission to the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences qualified incoming freshman who express an interest in the program can enroll without the need to file a separate application. Incoming freshman who expressed interest in the program on their admissions forms will be enrolled automatically if they meet the following two criteria:

ACT composite score of 27 or greater (SAT equivalent critical reading + math of 1210), and

High school grade point average of 3.7 or greater

First, Middle, Last
