Faculty and Staff

One of the UI's greatest assets is its faculty. UI Health & Human Physiology faculty are comprised of researchers and scholars who, in addition to being international leaders in their field, are dedicated to the education of students at every level of learning. Our faculty are active as researchers, authors, and educators.

Iowa students enjoy wide access to faculty members. In addition to weekly lessons and classes, students interact with faculty during studio seminars and master classes.

The research interests of individual faculty members reflect variations in terminology relevant to the subject of study in each subdiscipline. We are a multidisciplinary department with breadth from the health sciences, to the social science perspective of psychology, to the humanities focus of history, to the interdisciplinarity of cultural studies. We are united by our disciplinary strengths and our commitments to multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary inquiry.
