I grew up in the Los Angeles area but have spent much of my adult life traveling the country and the world. I studied marine invertebrates as part of an REU funded by NSF in 2007. I received my BA in geology from Colby College in 2009. I studied Triassic vertebrates as a Paleontological Research Intern at the Petrified Forest National Park. I also volunteered on several digs with the University of Utah and in the lab at the La Brea Tar Pits. I am currently describing a new fossil caiman from the Eocene of Laredo.
