Paleontology, Paleobiology, Paleoecology, Sedimentology, Taphonomy

My main areas of interest involve trends in terrestrial biodiversity and paleoecology, especially as they relate to the aftermaths of biotic crises.

Current research topics include:

A) A highly intensive analysis of the post-P/T extinction recovery, looking to identify lag, rebound, and expansion intervals in terrestrial ecosystems.
B) Using phylogenetic analyses to look for signs of massive immigration in the immediate aftermath of the post-P/T extinction.
C) A comparison between the timing and structures of the post-P/T and post-K/Pg extinction recoveries
