Our faculty offer courses in Spanish, Spanish American, and Chicano literature and culture; in Portuguese and Luso-Brazilian literature and culture; and in Hispanic linguistics, while also providing courses in Spanish and in Portuguese language from the introductory to advanced levels. We have a new and already nationally prominent area in Spanish creative writing. Students (including non-majors) can participate in one of many study-abroad opportunities in Spain and Latin America.
