We offer courses in languages spoken in historically, culturally, and economically important areas of the world—China, Japan, Korea, India, Russia, and eastern Europe—as well as courses in the literature and culture of China, Japan, India, and Slavic-speaking countries. We have strong ties to departments that offer courses in the art, literatures, history, religions, and societies of regions where the languages we offer are spoken.
